How it works

Check your SEO in three steps

  1. Paste a URL

Any public page: your home page, a product, a blog post — or a competitor.

  2. We test 25+ signals

Titles, headings, images, links, indexing, robots.txt, sitemap, speed hints and structured data.

  3. Fix what matters first

Every issue is ranked by impact and explained in plain English, with the exact fix.

Why Yes SEO

An SEO checker that respects your time

Results in seconds

A lightweight crawler built for speed: one page and up to 40 link tests in under 30 seconds, not minutes in a queue.

Fixes, not just flags

Each finding says what we saw, why it matters and how to fix it — written for site owners, not only SEO specialists.

Prioritized by impact

A noindex tag matters more than a missing favicon. Critical issues come first, so your first hour of work counts.

Free means free

No signup and no e-mail gate. Every finding and explanation is visible on the free plan.

Whole-site crawls

On Pro, crawl up to 100 pages to find duplicate titles, broken internal links and thin pages across your site.

White-label reports

Agencies can download PDF reports with their own logo, color and website — ready to send to clients.

What we check

Everything a good SEO checker should test

Search engines need to reach your page, understand it and decide it’s worth showing. Our checks follow the same order.

Can Google index the page?

We check the HTTP status, redirects, HTTPS and certificate, noindex directives in meta tags and headers, the canonical URL, your robots.txt rules and whether an XML sitemap exists. Any problem here can hide a page completely, so these checks carry the most weight in your score.

Does it clearly say what it’s about?

We read the title tag and meta description (presence and length), the H1 and the heading outline, and count the visible words to flag thin content. These are the signals that decide which searches your page is relevant for — and whether people click.

Is it well built and maintained?

We test the links on the page for 404s and server errors, look for missing image alt text, check internal linking, mixed content, structured data (JSON-LD and microdata), social sharing tags, the mobile viewport and the language attribute.

Is it fast?

We measure server response time and HTML size, check for gzip or Brotli compression, render-blocking scripts in the head, images without dimensions (a common cause of layout shift) and missing lazy loading.

Tip: run the checker on the page that ranks first for your target keyword, then on your own page. The differences in titles, headings and content depth are usually your quickest wins.

SEO checker FAQ

What does an SEO checker do?

An SEO checker fetches a web page the way a search engine does and tests the things that affect rankings: the title and meta description, headings, images, links, indexing rules, speed signals and structured data. It then tells you what to fix, in order of impact.

Is Yes SEO free?

Yes. You can run three single-page checks per day for free, with full results and explanations and no account. Paid plans add whole-site crawls, weekly monitoring, higher limits, no ads and white-label PDF reports.

How is the SEO score calculated?

More than 25 checks are weighted by impact. Indexing blockers such as an error status or a noindex tag carry the most weight; polish items such as a favicon carry very little. Your score is the share of possible points the page earned.

Can I check any website?

Any public web page, including competitors’ sites. We can’t check pages behind a login, and we refuse private or local network addresses for security.

How long does a check take?

Most single-page checks finish in 10–30 seconds, including testing up to 40 links. Whole-site crawls of 100 pages usually take a few minutes and run in the background.

Do you store the sites I check?

Anonymous reports are kept for 30 days so you can share the link, then deleted automatically. Reports in your account stay until you delete them. We never sell the list of URLs people check.

Will my rankings improve if I fix everything?

Fixing technical and on-page issues removes obstacles, which often helps quickly when something critical was broken. Long-term rankings also depend on the quality of your content and links from other sites.
